Growing Closer to God and Each Other

What We Do

Connecting women through fun opportunities, developing a deeper understanding of God’s Word, establishing healthy relationships with one another, and growing hearts fully devoted to Jesus Christ.

I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.

– Psalm 9:1-2

About Women’s Ministry

The Women’s Ministry at Mountainview exists to help us be women who will make an impact in our families, in our workplace, in our neighborhoods, and in our community. We offer programs to meet the needs of women in all stages of life. As you get involved, it is our desire that you will be encouraged through friendships and that your heart will be enriched by studying and applying God’s Word to your life.

We also hope you can join us for some of our upcoming events. These include activities for women as well as church-wide activities that we think you’ll be interested in. Growing closer to God through learning opportunities is what we’re all about. But, we’re also about having fun. Women’s Ministry wants to help you get connected to God and to one another.

Women’s Encounter

Please mark your calendars and plan to join Mountainview Women for our Fall Study over the new book, “A GENTLE ANSWER- Our Secret Weapon in An Age of Us Against Them” by Scott Sauls

In a defensive and divided era, how can followers of Jesus reveal a better way of living, one that loves others as God loves us? How can Christians be the kind of people who are known, as Proverbs puts it, to “turn away wrath?” Scott Sauls’s compelling new book shows Christians how to become people of “a gentle answer” in a politically, relationally, and culturally fractured world by helping readers:
grow in affection for Christ, who answers our hostility with gentleness;
nurture a renewed, softened heart in light of Christ’s gentleness toward us;
and catch a vision to forsake us-against-them mentalities, put down our swords, and “infect” a hostile world with gentleness.

For those who long for a more civil way of being, A Gentle Answer reveals why answering hostility with gentleness is essential, how we can nurture our hearts to do so, and what a gentle answer looks like, both in the church and in the world.
This class will be live taught by Mountainview teachers Rebecca Goodenow, Missy Goodenow and Kayla Littlefield (our new women’s ministry intern) and also shown live stream for those wanting to join from home. Group discussion will follow the teaching. Please select the in-person option or online option when registering. In-person option will include wearing masks and remaining socially distanced. Online option will meet via zoom.

Duplicate classes will be offered: Tuesday mornings from 9:30-11:00 am AND Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm. Classes will run 9/8 & 9/9 through 11/10 & 11/11.

Encounter Kids (birth-kindergarten) will be offered simultaneously at both in-person sessions.
