June 3-4 at Mountainview Christian Church

Have you ever wondered … Why do bad things happen to good people? What it means to be disappointed with God? How to hear from God?

This book explores the mystery of good and evil, leading Job to ask questions that are similar to the kind of questions all humans ask at some point. Job explores the interplay between reasoned faith and experience, exposing us to challenging ways to think about and experience God. Dr. Owens will help us enter the drama of Job and avoid some of the common pitfalls of engaging this important book of the Hebrew Bible.

June 3 from 7 pm – 8:30 pm
June 4 from 9 am – 12 pm

Dr. Jody L. Owens is a Professor of Bible and Pastoral Ministries at Johnson University. He holds a doctorate in Old Testament Studies from Emmanuel Christian Seminary.
