Home for Christmas
“I'll be home for Christmas
You can plan on me
Please have snow and mistletoe
And presents on the tree
Christmas Eve will find me
Where the lovelight gleams
I'll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams”
The lyrics of the iconic song “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” create an idyllic picture of Christmastime at home with sparkling snow, twinkling lights, shiny presents under the tree and a crackling flame in the fireplace.  We probably all imagine our own magical Christmas scene in our minds when this song plays on the radio or in the shopping mall.  Christmas is such a special time of year for families but not all families celebrate Christmas in the same way.  We invite you to share your own various holiday traditions, past and present.
Please join us as we discuss what Home for Christmas looks like for all different types of families…whether it be your immediate family, neighbors, small group, or friends from near and far.  What are some practical ways we can create meaningful memories, spend quality time with those around us and facilitate caring and Christ-centered community during this hectic season of the year?
How do we keep Jesus at the center of how we celebrate amidst the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season? The 6th annual Mountainview Christmas Tea will be held on Saturday,
December 1 from 9:30a.m. – noon.  Tea, coffee and brunch will be served. The suggested cost for the Christmas Tea is $10 per woman.  Childcare will be available for a flat $5 fee.  Special Note: If you plan to use the childcare option, please register online at least a week before the event so we can adequately provide for the needs of all of the children who will be attending!
