Helping You Teach Your Kids About Jesus
Weekend Experience: Each weekend your child can be part of an exciting and active environment filled with songs, games, and creative lessons that teach Godly values at an age-appropriate level. So while you are experiencing the creative, life-changing worship of Mountainview, your children are experiencing it as well. Our weekend services meet at the same time as adult services, and are designed for all children from birth through fifth grade. On your first visit, expect about 5-10 minutes to check-in your child.
Mountainview Kids (B-5th Grades)
Our high-quality nursery and early childhood programming exists to INCITE WONDER in the hearts of your children. Every element of our approach centers on giving preschoolers a first impression of their loving heavenly Father.
Our elementary programming and resources PROVOKE DISCOVERY, inviting kids to live out their new understanding of how to grow in their relationship with God and with others.
Children’s offerings are for birth through 1st grade during our Thursday and Saturday services.
When You Arrive:
If it’s your first time at Mountainview, you will find our children’s check-in desk in the main lobby. One of our team members will meet you there and help you register your child.

Working Together: Children and Students
Whenever possible, Mountainview Kids and Student Ministries strategically work together to blur the lines between the two areas and serve families as a whole. This effort includes events designed for all ages, regularly teaching on the same topic, and supporting each other’s events and programming.
Our Mountainview Kids Ministry will be for children from birth to fifth grade. Sixth through 12th graders will make up our Student Ministry. Our Family Ministry programming not only includes classes during our weekend services, but also mid-week programming such as Living for Him 24/7 and Encounter Kids.
Family Service Weekends
Several times throughout the year we hold Family Service Weekends in which we invite all our families to worship together. During these weekend services, our Student Ministry and Mountainview Kids Ministry programming is suspended so that we can worship God all together.Be sure to check the upcoming events calendar for the next family service weekend.
Move-Up Day takes place at the end of summer break in August to celebrate our Mountainview Kids who will be moving up to our Student Ministry. These are fifth graders going into sixth grade (middle school). Move-Up Day is also for our middle school students moving up to high school.
Trunk-or-Treat is a safe and fun way for families to celebrate the Fall season together. Folks decorate their trunks and park in the parking lot, passing out candy to children who come by. Fun games and activities are also set up inside the building. This event is a great way to serve our community.
Parent Dedication is a special ceremony in which you make a formal commitment to raise your child in a Christ-centered home. During the ceremony you will be asked to make a public pledge before your family and friends that you will raise your child to know, love and follow Jesus Christ. God designed the home as the primary place for faith to be nurtured. One way that we seek to partner with you is by providing resources throughout your child’s spiritual journey.
We typically hold 3-4 ceremonies a year.
It’s important to know when your child is ready to make a decision for Christ. Every step along your child’s spiritual journey is intended to guide and direct them toward becoming a fully developing follower of Jesus Christ. At some point along the way, your child will be mature enough to make a clear decision to trust Christ as his or her savior and then follow the Lord in believer’s baptism.
We have created material to assist you in leading your child to Christ and understanding salvation. When that wonderful event occurs, we would love to meet with you and your child in a special baptism class, offered free of charge, at Mountainview.
