A team from Mountainview travels to Ukraine each year. While there, the team ministers at drug and alcohol rehab centers, hospices and orphanages; helps with a Children’s Camp (VBS) in a small village; helps with and teaches at a Youth Festival (for high school age and young adults) and ministers to church worship teams. If you would like to go on this trip or learn more about future trips to Ukraine, contact Joe Brown at email@example.com.
Training Pastors, Starting Churches
Joe and Jennifer Brown in Ukraine“You’re the God of this City, You’re the King of these people, You’re the Lord of this nation … There is no one like our God.”
Now imagine singing the words in both English and Russian during the same worship service! That’s what our 2010 Ukraine mission team experienced this past summer as they participated in a youth festival that saw over 30 teenagers give their lives to Jesus in one night.
We believe God has called us to support the efforts of the church in Ukraine. For many years, this country existed under the shadow of communism — but now the doors have been opened and opportunities abound.
Our monthly support to Tavriski Christian Institute (TCI) helps train the current and next generation of pastors and church leaders. Many of these TCI-trained pastors are starting new churches where churches did not exist under communism.
In addition to TCI, Mountainview also supports two local churches in Kherson and L’lovo, as well as a rehab center in L’lvovo. But there’s more we can do.
The rehab center currently meets in a rented facility; we would like to purchase the property to keep the costs low. This will allow the ministry to expand beyond just one location.
Learn more about TCI by visiting their website.
