Good News for

the Common Person

The good news is that God’s Christmas gift – Jesus – wants to make his home in your heart.

Celebrate the Christmas Season at Mountainview

The Original Christmas Mix Tape: Weekend Series (December 1-22)

Almost everyone has a favorite Christmas song. It might be Jingle Bells or Silent Night. This series will look at the first songs that surrounded Jesus’ birth and what they teach us about the arrival of the Messiah. It will conclude on Christmas Eve with a message about the song Jesus wants to create in you. Join us on Thursday nights at 6:30, Saturday nights at 5:30 or Sunday mornings at 9:00 or 10:45.

Jingle on the Range - December 13 at 6:30 pm

Jingle on the Range is Mountainview's brand new Christmas experience. There’s something for everyone as we celebrate the joy of Christmas through singing, games, prizes and more. Come make memories with us! Starts at 6:30 pm.

Blue Christmas - December 16 at 6:30 pm

Celebrate the Hope of Christmas in this special service offered for those with heavy hearts. Christ was born in the dark of night into a world of need. Immanuel, God with us. He came to be with us. He still is with us. The beautiful music of Christmas, the gentle lights of candles and Scriptures from the ages will be presented appropriately for those who have experienced loss. We will decorate a tree with ornaments honoring your loved ones and we will light candles: in memory of a loved ones, to shine God’s love into the darkness left by a divorce, for the hope of Christ to shine in a sickness, setback or loss that shocked your world and pray for the Prince of Peace to invade the suffering of our world. We pray that you be comforted with hope that only comes from the presence of Christ in your life—Immanuel, God with us. Christmas Eve Services - 3:00, 5:00, 7:00, and 11:30 pm

The Christmas story is about God’s desire to reconcile with the people he created and his willingness to initiate the process by sending his son to live among us. In keeping with the theme of the series, God wants to write a song in your life and through your life. It’s a song only he can create. This message will speak to the connection between Christmas and Easter – the overriding story of the Bible is God’s plan to redeem people and to use their transformed lives to transform the world.

December 24 at 3:00, 5:00, and 7:00 pm.

We will have a contemplative service at 11:30 pm. All services are family-friendly (no childcare available during services).
